Lance Bifulk – Funeral Director
Lance was born and raised on the East Side of St. Paul, Minnesota. Went to St. Ambrose Catholic Church and enjoyed being and alter boy. Loved going up to Catholic Youth Camp at Big Sandy Lake in Minnesota. Learned how to Duck Hunt and Deer Hunt with his father Frank. His Grandfather gave him the love for fishing and just being in the outdoors. Graduated from St. Paul Johnson High School. Was active in Music, Drama, and the arts. Grew up playing Hockey, Baseball and Football. He enjoyed soccer with he’s friends at the Church he attended. By his own admission he loved sports but was never the best athlete, but he loved watching his friends play.
In his teens Lance was invited to a David Wilkerson meeting at the Minneapolis Auditorium. It was their he learned of the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. A few months later he bowed his head at home and asked the Jesus he had heard about growing up at St. Ambrose and later at the Auditorium to be his savior. Lance said, “I was a sinner and I knew it! I needed Jesus and Jesus loved me just the way I was. I’m still needing Jesus to for give me and help me in all area’s of my life. I’ve made HUGE misstates and only Christ can forgive. My favorite Scripture is John 3:16 and 1 John 1:9.” Also this scripture:
Lance went to North Central University in Minneapolis Minnesota and Graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in 1981. He spent 9 years as a Youth and Senior Pastor. He had congregations in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
During his years growing up he travelled with a Youth Choir throughout the United States of America. Having the privilege to sing and share Christ.
During his College days he was given the chance to do a practicum in West Germany. Lance fell in love with the German/Swiss people and their culture. He also saw up close what communism was and how it enslaves people to a all controlling government. Lance says, “It’s evil!”
He also spent time in Mexico and had the wonderful chance to see a beautiful people and country. The Latino families that took him in during his stay were some of the best examples of Jesus Love. Mexico City, Pueblo, Zacatecas, Leon, Monterey where all beautiful.
Lance received his Mortuary Science Degree from Milwaukee Area Technical College in 1991.
Lance has been in the Death Care Industry since the late 1980’s. He received his start as an Apprentice Funeral Director in Madison Wisconsin under the instruction of Robert & Peter Gunderson of Gunderson Funeral Homes in Madison, Wisconsin where he completed his apprenticeship for being a licensed Funeral Director.
Lance went to Albany Wisconsin and managed the Sharer Funeral Home until he purchased it in 1993 and it became the Sharer-Bifulk Funeral Home. Lance still lives in that beautiful home where they raised their three children.
